Yonhee Choi Gordon is retiring from JMG Financial Group after an illustrious 38-year career at the firm, during which she began as an entry-level assistant in 1986. Her career has been unique by several standards, evidenced by her being one of the first Korean-American women to rise to the C-suite in the RIA industry. As the first employee to carve a career path for others, Yonhee played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s culture and workforce, having hired the majority of the current staff and advisors. Her exceptional contributions were recognized in 2018 when she was named a Woman to Watch by InvestmentNews. In addition to her various roles, including serving as a financial advisor, she culminated her career as Principal, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. She has been a sought-after voice in the industry for decades, having spoken at numerous industry conferences and executive forums. Her efforts have helped bring JMG to being a nationally recognized wealth management firm.

Leaving behind a career of dedication and service and after transitioning her role, Yonhee is stepping down at the end of this year to dedicate more time to her special needs brother and family’s needs. She also plans to continue serving on several boards of non-profit organizations which advocate for college students, children with medical complexities, and families in need of access to financial planning.

After 28 years of dedicated service, Jeff Dohner will be retiring from JMG. Jeff began his career with the firm as a senior accountant in the corporate accounting department. Soon after, he started contributing to the compliance department, assisting with regulatory filings and audits, and developing and implementing compliance processes and procedures. Since 2019, Jeff has served as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Additionally, he was a valued member of the firm’s Investment Committee for 15 years.

Throughout my time here, I have had the opportunity to hold many roles, and at every step, there was always a mentor to guide and advise me. JMG’s collaborative and transparent culture played a crucial role in helping me achieve my goals. As I look back on my time at JMG, I will always cherish the moments we shared and the memories we made. I am proud to have been a part of the company’s growth over the years.”

Effective July 1st, Adam Boyer will be joining the firm with shared COO and CCO responsibilities through the end of the year in addition to joining the Executive Committee. With over two decades of leadership experience in financial services at Fortune 500 and publicly held companies, Adam specializes in wealth management, custody, banking, and fintech. Most recently, he served as the Head of Investment and Wealth Solutions Sales, Americas at the London Stock Exchange Group. Adam is a passionate and creative leader known for successfully implementing systems and processes that transform organizations and achieve sales, risk, and operational excellence. He is driven by the mission to empower teams to deliver best-in-class investment and wealth solutions, helping investors achieve their financial goals and aspirations. Adam is renowned for his collaboration, innovation, integrity, and fostering diversity of thought.

Raised in the western suburbs, Adam now resides in Chicago with his wife, Melissa, their two boys (ages 10 and 8), and their energetic rescue dog. He recently joined a Chicago Public School Local Council and holds an M.S. in Economics from Florida State University. In his free time, Adam enjoys running along the lakefront, golfing, and spending unscheduled time with his family, often shuttling between his children’s events.
